Born in 1980 in San Marcos, TX, J.D. Payne (as he is most commonly known) spent his childhood years in the Central Texas Hill Country town of Wimberley where he developed the lasting friendships and unique personality traits that help define him today. 

“I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have grown up in the place where I did, when I did and with the people I grew up with.”

His father being a real estate broker, J.D. learned about the real estate industry at a young age and by the time he had finished his formal education through Texas State he was ready to start on the path to being a licensed realtor.

“After I graduated college I still didn’t quite know what I wanted to make into a career. A friend suggested that I would be an excellent real estate agent. I would like to think they were right.”

Today, as a member of Century 21 The Excell Team, he is part of the strongest real estate brokerages in the area. Being one of three agents on the team that speaks Spanish and being its youngest member, J.D. has carved out a niche for himself in this competitive and ever changing industry.
